Off the back of 10 years in EP and single releases with some of dance and pop music's biggest names, Sam Gellaitry finally released his full length debut album in 2025. ANYWHERE HERE IS PERFECT is an absolute cracker, and brought with it a short UK/EU live tour at the beginning of March 2026. This was my first time seeing him live and with camera and notebook in hand, here's my review of his performance at Manchester's Gorilla.
Venue:

KTmelodies opened the evening with a slick DJ set, at times throwing us back to remixes of long forgotten chart toppers. Hearing a remix of Axel F's 'Crazy Frog' was not something I would have ever expected, but was (somehow) a great addition to the opening setlist. KTmelodies perfectly matched the energy that I was expecting going into the headline set from Sam Gellaitry. By the end of his set, I was buzzing for what was going to come next.
Gorilla was absolutely rammed by the time Gellaitry first appeared on stage, a testament to his progress in the Electronic/Pop music genre, especially over recent years. The crowd had fantastic energy and this was maintained throughout his set – everyone was on their toes, dancing and drinking in the vibes.
The stage set-up was simple enough. 2 decks, beautiful and vibrant colour changes, and Gellaitry switching between his work behind the deck and taking stage right in front of the crowd performing his phenomenal vocals on every track. The end of the show had a beautiful moment where he interacted with the crowd, a sea of raised hands brought all the high-fives that were required after such an intimate performance.
I cannot flaw the set list at all. Of course, we expected most of his newest record, but Gellaitry struck the perfect balance between his new album and the tracks that built him and made him the artist that he is today. My personal favourite song, the criminally short 'SEROTONIN', was slowed down a little but the remix was perfect for the night. The encore expectedly brought 'Assumptions' and by this point, the crowd was almost delirious. It was the perfect end to what was quite possibly one of my favourite concerts EVER.
